How to configure salary for a new employee
Step 1
Under an employee's profile, click on Payroll and then to the Salary Configuration tab as shown below -

Click on Add Salary Configuration to start configuring the salary for this new employee.
Step 3
Select the currency for this employee's salary from the drop-down list. Fill in the basic salary and allowance breakdown in each of the fields.
Note: If the employee hire date is mid-month, a Prorated salary is automatically calculated for the current month as shown below.
Step 4
Save the current salary details to return to the salary configuration page.
If there is a change in the employee's salary over time, a log of all salary configurations for each period will be visible. You can delete salary configurations and edit or add new salaries as needed.
