Calculating available balance using accrual
Current Available Balance
The employee accrues the monthly earned days every month (at the end of every month with the calendar and custom leave cycles and on their monthly anniversary with individual hire date cycles).
Available days = Current number of accrued days as of today (minus) used days.
In the example above, the employee had accrued 22.5 days + Carried over from the previous year 2 days and used 5.5 days before the time off set up was done - 11 days from accepted leaves, where the remaining current balance = 8.5 days
What happens when you request leave in the future?
Bayzat will show the employee the available accrued balance at the date of the request (number of days accrued till then).
What happens when your request exceeds the number of accrued days?
The employee will be notified that the request exceeds available days and can proceed to request if negative balances are permitted in your organization.
A negative balance will be shown (balance = current accrued days - all approved days)
In the example above, the employee had accrued 22.5 days + Carried over from the previous year 2 days and used 5.5 days before the time off set up was done - 23 days from accepted leaves, where the remaining current balance = - 3.5 days.
What happens when your request causes pausing of your accrual leave allowance?
Your organization may enable the feature to automatically pause accrual leave allowance when employees take leave from specific leave policies, such as unpaid leave.
You will be warned when creating a leave request that will cause a pause to your accrual leave allowance.
The total accrual allowance that has been paused will be displayed in your leave balance details.
